Rufina Bazlova is a Prague-based Belarusian artist who works in illustration, social artwork, scenography and performance. Her work highlights burning socio-political issues using the traditional technique of embroidery as a tool of resistance and dialogue.

A number of Belarusian doctors and medical workers lost their jobs after expressing their citizenship, supporting the protest against the presidential election results, condemning violence against protesters, and criticizing the actions of the authorities regarding the pandemic.
On August 14, 2020, many employees of the factories and other Belarusian companies in support of the protest went on strike.
On August 12, 2020, Belarusian women spontaneously gathered across the country taking to the streets in large numbers calling for an end to state violence and forming solidarity chains.
